Ravenswell’s Partners in PE and Physical Activity

Ravenswell is very lucky to have the opportunity to team up with various local organisations and across the North Wicklow/South Dublin area…

Smoothie Bikes combines Physical Activity & Healthy Eating while learning about green energy. The children loved every moment of it!
Wicklow LSP provided Ravenswell with fantastic resources for Bike Day during our Active Schools Week.

Dads & Lads Day

Ravenswell is lucky to have such great relationships with parents and guardians through our Parents Association. An example of how parents are constantly involved in pupils’ learning and activities is through Dads & Lads day. Fathers/Guardians/Uncles visited and practised various skills and played games with every class in the school…

***SPORTS FOR SCHOOLS ATHLETE VISIT***

On Wednesday 6th March last, Ravenswell hosted Olympic Athlete Caradh O’Donovan. Everyone enjoyed the circuit exercises immensely where children raised money for new PE equipment for the school.

Caradh told all the children how she overcome a serious illness to become one of the country’s top athletes in kickboxing and karate! We all wish her the very best in her Olympic Karate Dream and will be cheering her on!

There were 4 exercises for the circuit that were all brilliant and simple ways to keep fit. There were Spotty Dogs, Push Ups, Star Jumps and Mountain Climbers! It wasn’t long until everyone broke a sweat!
