Ms. Mulcahy’s Junior Infants

What a fantastic September we have had. We have got up to so many things. We are learning lots. Have a look at some of our pictures to see what we have been up to.

We have been learning all about sets in Math. We have been making sets of different numbers, colours and things. We have been learning how to use our set circles to make our sets. Take a look at us in action!

We have been learning how to order numbers. Ms. Mulcahy writes different numbers on whiteboards and we make sure we are in the correct order.

We have been learning about the different kind of weather we have in Ireland each day. We created weather clocks which we use everyday in our morning meeting to show what kind of weather we have. Our morning meeting is great fun.

In phonics we have been learning all about the sounds the letters ‘c’, ‘o’, ‘a’ and ‘d’ make. We also have been learning sight word which have been helping us to read. Below see us building sentences in our pairs and also matching some pictures to the sounds the have at the start of the word.

We have been learning all about some shapes. Last we were making squares out of lollipop sticks. It was good fun. We tried to make different size squares and we make sure they all has the same length sides.

This week we started Aistear. It is great to learn all about the home. We have been cutting and sticking. Playing in the home and also building homes using Duplo. Check it out!

Thanks for reading about what we are up to in Junior Infants!
