Our Staff

School Management

Our staff team is led by our principal, Ms Kate Breen.  Kate is supported by our Deputy Principal, Ms Mary Collins.  Both ladies work tirelessly to maintain a safe and caring environment in the school which promotes respect for others, for the environment and for learning.

They are always available to pupils and parents in the school and are very happy to talk over any questions or concerns which may arise. Please feel free to contact the school to make an appointment to speak with them.

“Highly committed and effective school leadership and management contribute positively to the work and development of the school.”

Non-Teaching Staff

Our school has a full time secretary, Imelda, who is happy to answer any questions you may have.  Office hours are from 9.00 to 3.30.

We are very fortunate to have a dedicated Home School Links teacher, Kerry O’Brien.  Kerry’s role is to support parents in the school and to encourage and facilitate their involvement in their child’s education.  Throughout the year Kerry organises a wide range of activities and courses for parents.  Kerry’s office is located in the reception area and parents are invited to call in for any reason.  You can contact Kerry at 083 838 7091.

We have eight wonderful Special Needs Assistants – Paula Dutton, Denise Dutton, Amanda Allen, Mary Keane, Orla Smale, Orla Moran, Ann Marie Buckley, Charlotte Casey and Raquel Tobias.  These ladies work with a number of children across the school.

Our school participates in the Headlamps Program run by the Bray Drugs Task Force.  Our Headlamps coordinator Niamh Whelan, works with a number of children in the school in her Project Room.  She also coordinates the Roots of Empathy programme in the school which is designed to promote positive behaviour and empathy in pupils.

We are also very lucky to be a part of the Bray North School Completion Programme.  The programme coordinator, Michelle Murphy, is based in our school.  She organises many of the free after-school activities we offer in the school.  She also runs a “Transition to Secondary School” program with the 6th class pupils to ensure they are properly prepared for their move to secondary school.

We are also very lucky to have a superb facilities management team and an excellent team of cleaners who keep the school running and looking good.
