Ravenswell Student Council is all about giving support to children and taking kids voices into account. We like to help others to give their opinions and support the child with courage.
We have elections every September. The kids can choose if they would like to run for student council and explain why they would be good at it.
The student council is from 3rd to 6th class and our two autism classes. Each class has a rep and a sub. The subs attend when the actual council member is out and they play a really important role in this. There are 12 representatives on the council and 12 subs.
We listen to the voice of other pupils – take kids suggestions on equipment, lessons, and activities. This year we focused on yard equipment in different parts of the school. A lot of kids gave suggestions of what equipment they would like on yard. This has been a great improvement in our school this year.
At our school, we believe in nurturing the whole child by offering a rich and varied extra-curricular programme that encourages pupils to explore their interests, build new skills, and develop friendships outside of the classroom. Our weekly schedule includes activities to suit a wide range of talents and passions:
